Robert M. Bedient age 68 of Lincoln, NE formerly of York, NE died Sunday, April 19, 2026 in Lincoln. He was born November 27, 1957 in York to Richard G. and Kathleen (Walsh) Bedient. Bob was a graduate of York High School. On August 19, 1989, he was married to Janice Johnson at York.
Bob was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in York, the York Elks Lodge, and the Serra Club in Lincoln. He loved playing golf and watching it on tv, attended daily mass and thoroughly enjoyed being with his family and attending all of their activities.
He is survived by his sons; Chris (Kama) Bedient and Father Tony Bedient all of Lincoln. His grandchildren include; Kaiden (Sydney) Bedient and their daughter Zelie. Blayke Bedient, Hannah Bedient, Paxton Bedient, Kolbe Bedient and Wyatt Bedient all of Lincoln. Also surviving are his step children; Matt Pullen and his children; Cameron and Carson all of Surprise, AZ. Megan (Clint) Ohlson and their daughter Addisyn of Aurora, NE; his brother Jim Bedient of Denver, CO and his sister Pat (Tom) Robson of Des Moines, IA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jan Bedient, parents and his sister Glenda Hauser.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 23, 2026 at St Joseph Catholic Church in York. Visitation at the mortuary will be from 1-3:00 pm Wednesday afternoon and then again at the church from 5-7:00 pm with his family in attendance. A Rosary service will then be held at 7:00 pm that same evening at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery east of York. Memorials may be directed to The Serra Club of Lincoln.
