Rose was born Nov. 6, 1927 at York General Hospital to Elsie E. (Snyder) and Curtis L. Foreman. She was the beloved wife of the late Lowell Klute of York, who predeceased her on Feb. 4, 2012.
Rose was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Waco in November 1927 by the Rev. George Jilg and confirmed in 1941 by the Rev. Victor Hoffman. She attended country school at District 86 School near Waco and graduated from York High School in 1944. She was united in

Rose was proud to be a farm girl – growing up, she milked 14 Holsteins each day, fed the chickens and the pigs before going to school. She and Lowell farmed in Bradshaw for 40 years before retiring in 1987 and moving their Bradshaw home to East Sixth Street where it stands today. For many years, Rose also worked as a nurse’s aide at York General Hospital and as a private home health aide.
She was a wonderful mother, doting grandmother and caring and friendly towards everyone. She and Lowell were fond of traveling and visited all 5O states and many European countries in the course of their travels. In her younger days, she was an avid roller skater. She was a fine pie maker and baker (her chocolate fudge was legendary) and loved socializing and playing cards at the York Senior Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (and her husband Gautam) Gupta of Carlisle, Mass. and her granddaughter Maya Gupta of Santa Cruz, Calif. She also leaves behind her sisters, Elizabeth (and her husband Gary) Currie; Gertrude Foreman and Joan Foreman, all of St. Paul, Minn.; her nephew, Malcolm Currie of St. Paul and niece, Debra A. (and her husband James) Foreman-Dodds of Omaha and many loving grandnieces and grandnephews and their children.
