Ruth was a school cook at McCool Public Schools for 13 years. Louis died in 1963. Ruth moved to York in 1967 and worked for Tobers Clothing Store for 13 years. Ruth married Charles Bell on September 23, 1977 in York. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in York, U.M.W., Daughters of the Nile, York DO.E.S., York Senior Fun Club, Royal Neighbors, served as chairman for the McCool March of Dimes and did other volunteer work in York and surrounding communities.
Survivors include her husband, Charles of York; one son, Louis L. Klinzman and wife Marilyn of Wahoo, NE; two grandchildren, Liesl Chloe Klinzman of Minneapolis, MN and Etienne Louis Klinzman of Lincoln, NE; two sisters, Marjorie Cudaback of Portland, OR and Opal Nixon of Wichita, KS; one brother, Orville Miller of Columbus, NE; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and husband Louis Klinzman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 10 at the First United Methodist Church in York. Burial in York’s Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church, York Community Foundation or Hospice of Nebraska. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Metz Mortuary.
