He was born Aug. 28, 1941 in Ord to Samuel Ord Keezer and Ida Jane Kellogg. On Dec. 7, 1963 Sam married Jeanette A. Berryman in Greeley.
Sam thoroughly enjoyed watching westerns and game shows. His hobbies involved scratch tickets and fishing. He loved and enjoyed his dogs and his favorite was “Opie”. Sam was employed and retired from the maintenance department of N.R.D. in York.
Sam is survived by his son, Sam (Missy) of York and daughter, Emma (Ron) Walker of Waverly; grandchildren, Devon Keezer of Lincoln, Dustin (Amanda) Keezer of York, Jennie (Mark) Mars of Syracuse, Kenny Jones of Kansas City, Mo. and Scott Walker and Kristen Walker of Waverly; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Eilleen (Don) Baker of Greeley and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette; parents; infant daughter, Jennifer Lynn; brother, Charles and two sisters, Clara Dahlberg and Anna Sheldon.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb, 14, 2017 at Metz Chapel in York. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Cremation, no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
