Steven Dale Wilson, age 65 of York, NE died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Lincoln, NE. He was born February 25, 1956 in Geneva, NE to Leslie R. and Florence (Nolan) Wilson Sr. On May 30, 1997 he was married to Barbara Olson in York. Steve was a longtime mechanic for several John Deere dealers in Nebraska and Iowa. He enjoyed woodworking, which he learned from his father. He also loved working on his 1977 El Camino, attending car races and car shows. He liked to talk about summers as a youth working on the Hromadka farm and fishing. Steve and Barb enjoyed taking trips and day trips when time allowed.
He is survived by his wife Barb of York, his sisters Bev and Eldon Eklund of York and Linda (Gerald) Sharon of Dennison, IA.
He is also survived by his brother-in-law David Olson of Lyle, MN and sister-in-law Dolly Wilson of York. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Sonny, and his sister Mary.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm., Friday, July 23, 2021 at Metz Chapel in York. Viewing and visitation with his family will be held from 5-8:00 pm Thursday evening at the mortuary in York. Steve will be cremated following services and private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to his family for later designation.
