    The Reverend Charles & Myron Juanita Bailey 
    The Reverend Charles Albert Bailey Jr., age 86, and his wife Myron Juanita Bailey, age 82, of McCool Junction, NE passed away after 60 years of marriage on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at their home. Charles was born August 25, 1927 to Charles A. and Dolly E. (Holford) Bailey in Memphis, TN.  Juanita was born September 8, 1931 to Ray and Alma (Owers) Chance in Hornbeck, LA. Charles and Juanita were united in marriage on July 5, 1952 in Bentley, LA.

    Charles was a retired United Methodist minister and Juanita was a retired registered nurse. He and his wife served the following churches in Nebraska: Tekamah, Springview, and finally Stromsburg. Charles was very proud of his military service and was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving with 11th Airborne during WWII. He was also a member of the Masonic Fraternity and was a Shriner. Juanita was a member of PEO and was very involved in nursing and church activities.
    They are survived by their son Chaplain Brigadier General Charles “Ray” (Karen) Bailey of Washington DC and daughter Beth (Bob) Weatherly of Fremont, NE; grandchildren: Kevin (Renae) Bailey of Lincoln, NE, Amber (Rob) deMattos of Slidell, LA, Patrick Bailey and his fiancé Dallas Wilson of Houston, TX, and Matthew Bailey of Washington DC; and great grandchildren Charles and William deMattos and Chance Bailey.

    Charles is survived by his siblings: Frank (Helen) Bailey of Lufkin, TX, Ann Garcia of Antlers, OK, Wilma Stanfield of Little Rock, AR; Wilma (Merv) Lujan of San Bernadino, CA, Mary Davis of Chattanooga, TN, Lou (Jack) Keith of Hixon, TN, and Sandra (Ken) Johnson of Kingston, TN.

    Juanita is survived by her siblings: Dale (Martha) Chance of Elkhart, TX, Don (Bessie) Chance of 9 Mile Point, LA, Anita (Paul) Bailey of Kilgore, TX, and Dan (Linda) Chance of Campti, LA.

    Charles and Juanita also leave behind countless nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.

    Charles and Juanita were preceded in death by their parents and also Charles’ sisters Betty and Sue.

    Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Stromsburg United Methodist, Stromsburg, NE. Private interment was held for both at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, NE.  Memorials may be directed to Bayou Land Missions, 1061 Oak Ave., Ridge City, LA, 70094.
