Thomas Charles Friedli, age 90 of York, NE, died Saturday, January 11, 2025 in Lincoln, NE. He was born on November 22, 1934 to Jacob and Helen (Gates) Friedli in McCook, NE. He was united in marriage on July 12, 1963 to Faye Johnson in York.
Thomas was a member of the Great Plains Community Church in York; formerly called the “First Church of Nazarene.” He loved going to car shows, and cherished the time spent going to horse shows with his family. Thomas was an avid story teller.
He is survived by his son Tommy (Sandy) Friedli of York; grandchildren Alex (Alix) Adams of York; Derek (Paige) McKenzie of York; Kelsey Urban of Omaha, NE; great-grandchildren Jace Urban of Omaha; Kenzie Urban of Omaha; Levi Urban of Omaha; Harper McKenzie of York; Hudson McKenzie of York; Hayes McKenzie of York; and Peter Adams of York.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son Brad Friedli; sister Lila Friedli; brother Jacob Friedli.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Great Plains Community Church in York. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in York. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. with his family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m., all at Metz Mortuary in York. Memorials may be directed to Great Plains Community Church.
