William Troutman – Metz Mortuary

    William “Bill” Troutman
    William G. Troutman, age 81 of York, NE died Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in York. He was born August 16, 1940 in Bradshaw, NE to William F. and Margaret (Gray) Troutman. Bill was a life-long farmer and was also involved in construction and was previously employed at the York Packing Plant. On September 29, 1961 he was married to Elnora J. Siebert at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson, NE.

    He was a lifetime member of the Bradshaw United Methodist Church. He enjoyed all sports especially watching the Huskers and the Indianapolis Colts play. He loved animals and being with his family watching the world go by sitting outside. Telling stories was a fun hobby and he loved history and politics.

    He is survived by his wife Elnora of York, sons: Scott (Tina) Troutman of York, Brad (Theresa) Troutman of Henderson, Brian (Stacey) Troutman of Stromsburg, NE and Kory Troutman of Lincoln, NE. His grandchildren are: Joseph (Kylee) Troutman, Melanie (Jeff) Cushing, Laura Troutman, Jay Troutman, Tayler Troutman, Keith Troutman, Sarah (Carl) Engler, Benjamin Troutman, Erin Troutman and fiancé’ Loren Busboom, Kyle Troutman and Caden Troutman and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings: Jerry (Beverly) Troutman, David (Linda) Troutman, Megan (Bill) McGraw all of York, Peggy (Bob) Frerichs of Longwood, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Patricia Troutman and Becky Rea, brothers Robert, Tom, Les, and Fred.

    Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Metz Chapel in York with the Reverend Mary Scott officiating. Inurnment will follow at Plainfield Cemetery, west of Bradshaw. Memorials may be directed to his family for later designation. Cremation. No Viewing. Bill’s service will be live-streamed on Metz Mortuary’s Facebook page​
